The door doesn’t open or close: Perhaps this is the most obvious indication. If your garage door struggles or completely refuses to open or close, there’s a problem. The door could be malfunctioning; there could be a bad connection between the door and the door panel; or there could be some other issue going on. The door makes excessive noises: While garage doors are normally noisy while opening and closing, any type of loud creaking, banging, clicking, or other out-of-the-ordinary noises should be a cause for concern. The springs may be worn, or the opener could be the source of the problem.
